When to Choose a Full Frame Leg Base

Full frame designs have the advantage of being self supporting. This makes them considerably stiffer than individual legs, without reliance on the table top for support.

Our freestanding table frames will ensure a rock-solid table with little DIY effort. The frame bolts together into a rigid, self-supporting base and allows you to fit both extremely heavy (stone, very thick solid woods) and also thin/weak (i.e. MDF), non-structural (i.e. composites) or hard to fit (i.e. marble or glass) tops with ease.

The overall finish is much stronger than any of our non-freestanding options. The cross bars provide a huge amount of lateral support both for the legs and the top and the result is that you can build an incredibly sturdy table.

These are incredibly strong and will be suitable for the heaviest projects. We do not specify ultimate weight limits for these but a guide, anything over 100kg would benefit from this style of legs.

As with all our projects, the final build is still in your hands and it is your responsibility to ensure everything has been assembled correctly and is safe for use etc.
